Saturday's News-Record reports on the straw poll results from the 6th district convention showing the incumbent congressman at about 32 % while Bill Flynn commands 52.8% of the vote. Here's a reader comment about the story:
"The article is a little misleading - I was there. The congressman received a standing ovation for giving a briefing at the start of the convention. He did not speak in the candidate speeches. Bill Flynn had the entire room on its feet after his speech. Billy Yow had the people glued to their seats and they weren't about to stand up. It is time for a change - 28 years is plenty long to have improved the country. It hasn't happened. If we keep doing what we've doing, we will continue to get what we were getting."
